The Wall, Final Session. Midland Road, Bradford

Wow! What a day! Another great session with Lou Sumray, and the lovely family groups at Midland Road. A  variety of drawings made individually and collaboratively. Parents and children working together, amazing calm and careful working, and as Sharon the Head Teacher, said 'at times it was almost spiritual'.
We were also very fortunate to be visited by a variety of exotic animals, including Giant Hissing Cockroaches, a Skunk and a number of Snakes, which became our models during the session. A truly awesome day! I look forward to seeing the permanent artwork that will be created from this beautiful body of work....

Collaborative 'Web' Drawing

Snails, Black and White Materials and Collaborative Drawing - another great session at Midland Road with Lou Sumray! Thanks to our beautiful life models (see below) collected by Lou, this was a fabulous session of observational drawing, individual working and cross generational collaboration. We are well on the way to a stunning portfolio of drawings to be used as raw material to inspire a permanent artwork which will be installed on Midland Road.

The Wall - Midland Road Bradford

I am pleased to be delivering this Artworks project alongside friend and fellow Artist Lou Sumray with families at Midland Road Nursery School and Childrens Centre in Bradford. We are planning to create an artistic intervention in, on or around a big and rather beautiful old wall that runs along part of Midland road adjacent to the Nursery. Today was a splendid day with lots of family and group working, great drawings and a visit to explore the wall! - FL
